What is an explainer page?

Explainer pages allow your customers to find out more about your rewards program; how they can earn points, spend points and preemptively answer any questions that they may have about your program.

On our  Professional plan and above, we offer an explainer page template as a bonus! 

However, if you are not on one of these plans, you are free to get creative and build your own explainer page for your rewards program.

How do I customize my explainer page on Shopify?

On Shopify, we are able to install the explainer page into your theme. This means that when you are setting up your explainer page, instead of needing to change anything in the source code, you can change a field in your theme settings instead!
After having the explainer page installed into your Shopify store, you can edit the content of the explainer page.
First, you will need to change the page title and description, which can be edited under your Shopify admin.
Click on ' Online Store' and then click ' Pages'. Once you are in Pages, choose the explainer page from your list of pages. This is also where you can change the URL and meta description if you wish!

Next, you will go back to your Shopify admin toolbar, click on ' Online Store' and then click ' Themes'.

You will be brought to your theme customization page. Click on ' Customize Theme' located on the right-hand side of the screen.

Once you're in your theme customization, you will click on the ' explainer page' section.

This section is where you can change the rest of the details of your rewards program, such as earning points, spending points, and FAQs. You can enable and disable earning and spending options if you don't want them to show. You can also change your  colour  scheme and more!
