How do I import points with a CSV file?

If you are looking to adjust customer balances in bulk, the best way to do this is with a CSV file. A CSV file is a comma separated value file. It is called this because a comma is used to create a new column and separate the data.

In the app, when you import a CSV, you need two columns with the headers: 'email' and 'points'.

In the email column, you will enter your customer's email address. Email addresses are case sensitive, so make sure that the customer's email address is exactly the same as how it appears in the customer section of your store's admin.

This is what a sample CSV file looks like:

In the image above, you will notice that the first row has the headers 'email' and 'points', and then the rows below the headers are the customers and their respective points. This is exactly how you should create your CSV file.

Once you've completed your CSV, you will import the file by going to your admin, and then click on the 'Customers' section. When you are in the Customers section, you will see in the upper right-hand corner a button called 'Import Points'

When you click the button, this will open the file upload pop-up where you can choose your CSV file and what you want the points column to do. There are two options; add points from each customer's existing balance or reset customers point balances to the CSV values.

Select which option that you would like to do, and then click 'Start Import' and the import will begin. You will receive an email when the import is completed.
