In May we’re updating your Notifications section to make it even easier for you to build reward emails that integrate seamlessly with the look and feel of your brand.
You’ll see an in-app message to let you know the update has been complete, directing you to your new notifications section in Smile Admin.
Here’s what you can expect after the update is complete.
New custom email editor
We’ve redesigned our email editor to make it even easier to build reward emails that are a seamless extension of your brand. You can use our new editor to customize our redesigned default templatesor build your own custom email templates using our developer tools.
How existing custom emails will map over
If you’ve built custom email templates with our current editor we’ll create new custom templates for you that will map over existing copy, images, subject lines, and general styling. We’ll also ensure your new templates automatically populate with relevant program variables like points earned or reward redeemed.
If you’ve saved multiple email notifications for a single rule, we’ll create a new general template for you that closely matches the look and feel of email notifications you’ve built for each notification type.
Emails sent to members that have earned points for engaging with your program, have used their points towards a reward or entered a new VIP tier will use a single template. Each template will pull in relevant variables like points earned, reward redeemed, new VIP tier status.
If you’d like access to any of the custom email templates you’ve stored in Smile, your success manager would be happy to export these files for you.
New enable and disable settings
You’ll be able to easily enable or disable all emails that use a single notification type template in Smile Admin. Types of email notifications include:
- Points earned
- Sent when a member completes an
- Reward redeemed
- Birthday points
- Points expiry warning
- Points expiry last chance
- Referral completed
- Referral shared
- VIP tier entry
How your email settings will map over:
We’ll make sure to map your current notification settings over as closely as possible.
If you have notifications enabled for any of the actions handled by a single email template we’ll enable all emails that use that template.
If you have four earning rules, and notifications are enabled for three of these rules we will enable all points earned emails that are sent using our points earned template.
