Cancel your Smile account

If you are on a paid plan, you must cancel your Smile account before you can uninstall the app.

How to cancel your Smile account

Step 1: Disable your rewards programs
It is best to disable Smile on your site before canceling your plan and uninstalling the application. If you are only downgrading your subscription and intend to continue using Smile on the free or a lower paid plan you can skip to the next step.

To disable your program log in to Smile ( app.smile.io) and click on the Program link in the Navigation pane.

For each of the elements of your program that are enabled click the Disable button within that card.

Step 2: Downgrade or cancel your Smile subscription
If you would like to cancel your Smile subscription, log into your Smile Admin and click on Settings > Billing.

Click on the Downgrade button at the bottom of the Billing page.

If you are on the Pro or Enterprise plan please contact your Account Manager or support@smile.io to perform this step.

You will be presented with a confirmation page to ensure this is something you want to do. Select Downgrade to complete this step.

Step 3: Uninstalling the app
Uninstalling apps will be different in each of the platforms supported by Smile. Check out the support pages for Shopify, BigCommerce or any of the other supported platforms and search for Uninstalling Apps.

📋   Note:
Once you have uninstalled Smile your information will be marked for deletion and/or obfuscation (the removal of all personally identifiable information) and cannot be recovered. This step is irreversible and should you want to resume your Smile loyalty program at any point in the future there will be no ability to recover this data.
