Bronto is an email marketing app that offers a sophisticated marketing automation engine, solutions for browse recovery, recommendations, shopping cart recovery, and powerful ecommerce integrations to help you grow revenue with targeted email, mobile, and social marketing.
The Bronto Smile app allows you to:
- Sync your rewards program member information with your Bronto account
- Use personalized rewards info in your email communication
How to install the Bronto app.
Navigate to the Apps section of Smile and select the Bronto app from the listing.
Add your Bronto API access token to sync data between the two systems. You can click the link to go directly to the API section of Bronto. You must be the owner of the Bronto account to manage API keys & tokens.
We recommend creating an API access token specifically for the Smile integration. Select "Add Access Token" and select read, write, and activate token.
Copy the API access token into Smile.
Once the API key is validated you will be asked which list you want Smile properties to be synced to.
Note: if a customer's email is not already in Bronto, Smile will not create it. Smile data will only be added to existing customers.
We recommend syncing to a list that has your online store's customer account emails.
Benefits of the Bronto and Smile app
This app allows you to create segments of contacts based on Smile reward information. Segments can be created based on any of the following properties:
- Customer points balances
- Customer referral URLs
- VIP tier names
- VIP tier IDs
You can also include these properties in email templates to display an individuals unique rewards program information.
