# How to log in to Smile

> Learn how to access Smile based on the eCommerce platform your store uses.

## Logging in to Smile through Shopify

If your store is on Shopify, you can access Smile directly through your Shopify Admin. When you open Smile from Shopify, you're automatically logged in—no separate Smile username or password is required.

**To open Smile from Shopify:**

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.
2. From the left-hand navigation, select **Apps**.
3. Select [**Smile.io**](http://Smile.io).

## Logging in to Smile on BigCommerce

If your store is on BigCommerce, you can access Smile directly from the BigCommerce control panel. When you open Smile from BigCommerce, you're automatically logged in—no separate Smile username or password is required.

**To open Smile from BigCommerce:**

1. Log in to your BigCommerce control panel.
2. From the left-hand navigation, select **Apps**.
3. Select **[Smile.io](http://Smile.io) Loyalty & Rewards**.

## Logging in at app.smile.io

You can also log in directly at [app.smile.io](http://app.smile.io).

* **Shopify merchants:** Click **Log in with Shopify**. If your account has a Smile email and password, you can also use those.
* **BigCommerce merchants:** Log in with your Smile email and password.

If you're a Shopify merchant and the email/password form isn't working, use **Log in with Shopify** instead—not all Shopify accounts have a separate Smile email and password.

## If you're having trouble logging in

If you can't access Smile, start with the option that best matches your situation:

* **You're logged in to your eCommerce platform and don't see Smile in your Apps list:** Make sure the Smile app is installed and that you're logged in to the correct store.
* **You can't log in at [app.smile.io](http://app.smile.io):** Shopify merchants should try **Log in with Shopify**. If you need to update your Smile email or password, follow the steps in [Change your account email or password](/en/articles/4036176-change-account-email-or-password).
