# Change account email or password

> Update the email address and password associated with a Smile account.

You can update the email address, contact name, and password for your Smile account **when you log in through app.smile.io**.

If you usually access Smile through Shopify or BigCommerce, you won't need to manage a separate Smile login. Learn more about your login options in **[How to log in to Smile](/en/articles/13441174-how-to-log-in-to-smile)**.

## Edit the account email or password

From your account settings, you can update the **Email address** and **Password** you use to log in to Smile through **app.smile.io**. You can also update your **First name** and **Last name**, which are used in in-app chat and to identify the primary account holder.

To review or update these settings:

1. In Smile Admin, navigate to Settings > **[User](https://app.smile.io/settings/user)**.
2. Update the desired fields.
3. Click **Save**.
