This article will cover what metrics are in the overview dashboard and how each metric is calculated and what they mean in regards to the performance of your program.
What is the overview dashboard?
The overview dashboard gives you a quick look at some of your program's most important metrics. This is the best place to see the performance of your program at a glance.
This section shows you totals for the entire life of your program. Each value is a total from the time you installed to today.
What it is: shows the total value generated (in dollars) across the program types you have installed. This includes:
The total value of purchases made with a Smile coupon code
The all-time dollar value of all purchases made with a Smile referral link
Ongoing purchases of customers whose first purchase was made through a Smile referral link
Ad spend saved to acquire referred site visitor
📋 Note: If you have a VIP program installed, orders placed that include a reward issued via entering a VIP tier are also included in this number.
What it means: this metric gives you an understanding of the total value (in dollars) that Smile has generated for your business. This is a very conservative estimate of the value generated because we are only including orders placed using a Smile generated coupon code. Orders using a gift card reward or POS reward will not be counted in this metric.
What it is: shows the total number of members enrolled in your program. A program member is anyone who has registered for an account on your store.
What it means: this metric is a good way to gauge how effective your rewards program marketing is, and how many people are motivated to sign up.
What it is: shows the total number of non-points rewards that have been issued. This could be discount codes, free products, free shipping, etc.
What it means: this metric gives great insight into whether or not your rewards are compelling to your customers.
These cards show you a summary of how different areas of your rewards program have performed over the last 30 days.
Members added last 30 days
What it is: shows the net number of new members in the last 30 days. Any visitor that has created a store account in the last 30 days is counted in this number.
What it means: this metric helps you see if you have created exciting reasons to join your program, and if you have been marketing it effectively.
Points transactions last 30 days
What it is: shows the total number of points transactions in the past 30 days. This includes all earning, spending, expiry, and adjustment transactions.
What it means: this metric is a good way to determine the health of your program. Ideally you want this metric to be high, with lots of people earning and spending points.
Referral purchases last 30 days
What it is: shows the number of orders that have been placed by customers referred to your store through Smile referral URLs.
What it means: this metric shows you how effective your referral program is at generating successful referrals.
