How do customers log in?
Customers can log in by typing their email address into the Smile panel and clicking the Sign In button. Then they will receive an email in their inbox with a link back to your store. Once they are directed back to your store, they will be logged into the Smile Panel!
Can they redeem rewards?
Yes! They can complete all of the regular actions inside of the Smile panel. This includes social media earning actions, redeeming rewards, and referring friends.
Do I need to change anything else in my loyalty program?
Nope! Once you activate the program in the Program Participants section. Nothing else needs to happen.
Can new customers log in?
The customer's email needs to already be in your eComm platform's database. This means new customers cannot sign into the Smile.io panel. They will need to make a purchase or sign-up through the account creation page on your store first.
Do they need to log in before checkout?
Yes, customers will need to access the panel to log in. They can do so on any page up to the cart page. But once they reach checkout, the Smile.io panel is not accessible.
Will this log customers into my store?
No, if customers want to access their store account information, they will need to log in to the regular account creation page. The Smile Panel only logs customers in for Smile.
Will customers who log in to my store still need to do this?
If a customer logs into their store account, it will automatically log them into the Smile.io Panel.
Why can't guests redeem their points through Shopify POS?
Currently the passwordless login/program participation feature is built specifically for the online store only. For customers to redeem points in Shopify POS - they will have to be a member of the program.
