# Dotdigital integration overview

## About Dotdigital

[Dotdigital](https://dotdigital.com/) is a cross-channel marketing automation and customer experience platform built for ecommerce. When connected to Smile, you can sync loyalty data into Dotdigital address books and use it to segment audiences and personalize email content.

## Features and functionality

With the Smile and Dotdigital integration, you can:

* Sync points balance, VIP tier, and referral URL to Dotdigital contacts
* Segment audiences by points balance or VIP tier
* Use loyalty data in email templates

## Integration requirements

To use the Smile and Dotdigital integration, you must meet the following requirements:
