# Reward customers for Klaviyo Reviews

> Reward customers with points for leaving a verified review through Klaviyo Reviews.

Reviews are an important way to build trust with customers around your brand, and rewarding them with points is a way to thank them for leaving one.

## Before you begin

Before you can set up points earning for reviews, follow Klaviyo Reviews' [getting started guide](https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/15937542819355) and ensure:

* The [Klaviyo Reviews app](https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/15937542819355#01H7ZYJT0V3FD59T2TQZP9ECWV) is installed on your online store.
* The [Klaviyo Reviews widget](https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/15937542819355#01H7ZYJT0VT34C44VSDHCNVZ6G) is set up and visible on your online store.
* You have [configured a Klaviyo flow](https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/15937542819355#01H7ZYJT0VY18V7PSA4YN3FK14) to request reviews after purchase.
* You have the [Smile and Klaviyo integration](/en/integrations/klaviyo/setup) installed.

## Award points for leaving a review

<Warning>
  **Warning:** You must set up Klaviyo Reviews in your online store **before** you install the Smile and Klaviyo integration. If you set up Klaviyo Reviews **after** installing the Smile and Klaviyo integration, you'll need to remove and reinstall the Smile and Klaviyo integration for review data to sync into Smile.

1. From **Smile Admin**, navigate to **Program** > **[Points](https://app.smile.io/reward-programs/points)**.
2. Click **Add ways to earn**.
3. Scroll down to the **Smile Apps** section and click **Review a Product: Klaviyo**.
4. In the **Earning value** section, enter the number of points you would like to award for leaving a review.
5. Make any other customizations to the earning action.
6. Click **Create**.

Once configured, points are automatically issued when customers leave verified reviews.

  **Note:** Only verified reviews will be issued points. All verified reviews receive points regardless of whether they are a star rating only, include text, or include a photo or video.
