Loyalty landing page or Loyalty Hub: What’s the difference?

Understand which loyalty experience is right for your store.

Updated over a week ago

You can add dedicated loyalty pages to your store using a loyalty landing page, Loyalty Hub, or both.

Both options connect to the same loyalty program in Smile Admin, but they serve different purposes. This guide explains how each experience works so you can decide what’s right for your store.

Availability depends on your plan. Review the details in each section below.

Loyalty landing page

The loyalty landing page is a public, non-interactive page that explains your loyalty program.

Feature availability:

✅ The loyalty landing page is available on Essential, Standard, Growth, Plus, and Enterprise plans for merchants on the Shopify platform.

All visitors can view this page, whether they are logged in or not. It shows how customers earn points, highlights available rewards, and provides a general overview of your loyalty program.

Unlike interactive experiences, the loyalty landing page does not show a customer’s individual points balance or allow customers to redeem rewards or complete earning actions. It is designed purely for program education.

When to use a loyalty landing page

Use a loyalty landing page if you want a dedicated, public page that explains how your loyalty program works before customers log in.

Loyalty Hub

Loyalty Hub is an interactive loyalty page designed for logged-in customers.

Feature availability:

✅ Loyalty Hub is available on Growth, Plus, and Enterprise plans for merchants on the Shopify platform.

Inside Loyalty Hub, customers can:

  • View their points balance.

  • See available rewards.

  • Redeem rewards to receive discount codes.

  • Complete earning actions.

Because customers must log in, Loyalty Hub supports active points management and reward redemption.

Using Loyalty Hub instead of the Smile panel

Loyalty Hub can replace the Smile panel and launcher as your primary loyalty experience.

When used this way, customers visit a Loyalty Hub to manage their points and rewards. The Smile panel and launcher are not used, and Loyalty Hub becomes the central location for loyalty activity on your store.

Set up Loyalty Hub

To add Loyalty Hub to your store, follow this guide: Add Loyalty Hub to your store.

Using both together

You can use both the loyalty landing page and Loyalty Hub at the same time.

In this setup, the loyalty landing page provides a public overview of your program, while Loyalty Hub gives logged-in customers a dedicated space to manage points and redeem rewards.
