Switching to Smile from another provider is simple. This guide walks you through how to transfer your customers’ points and get your loyalty program ready to launch.
Step 1: Export a CSV file from your current provider
When switching programs, a common question is: What happens to my customers’ existing points?
Good news — points can be easily imported into Smile.
The first step is to export your customer data as a CSV file from your current program. You’ll need two pieces of data to import into Smile:

Step 2: Import customer points into Smile
Smile automatically syncs with your store platform. When you install Smile, your customers are imported automatically. They don’t need to create a separate Smile account — their store account and Smile account are the same.
Once your customers have finished syncing, upload your CSV file to Smile by following our CSV import guide. This ensures your customers keep access to all previously earned points in their accounts.
Step 3: Launch your loyalty program
After syncing customers and importing points, you’re ready to launch!
