Understand how monthly orders are counted

Learn how Smile calculates your monthly order count and how to track your usage.

Monthly orders are counted based on the calendar month, starting from the first day and ending on the last day of each month. The counting begins the day you install Smile. Every order placed at your store during that month contributes to your monthly order total. This includes all orders, whether they are paid, unpaid, or refunded.

However, it's important to note that orders without associated customer emails are not counted toward your usage. This includes certain marketplace orders or in-person sales made through point-of-sale (POS) systems that do not collect customer emails. Only orders with a customer email are included in your monthly order count.

Tracking Your Monthly Order Count


To keep track of your current monthly orders, you can visit your Smile billing settings. There, you'll find an up-to-date summary of your monthly usage, making it easy to stay informed on how it relates to your current plan.
