The Free and Starter plans come with monthly order limits, which set the maximum number of orders that can be placed at your store in a calendar month before needing to upgrade to a new plan. Order limits vary by plan:

  • Free Plan: Up to 200 orders per month

  • Starter Plan: Up to 500 orders per month

To learn more about how orders are counted and how to check your monthly order usage, read our dedicated article.

Exceeding your order limit

If you exceed your order limit during a given month, we will notify you at the start of the following month. You will have until the end of that month to upgrade your plan to accommodate your growing order volume.

Example: If you're on the Free plan (200 orders per month) and process 250 orders in May, you'll receive a notification on June 1st and have until June 30th to upgrade. During June, your loyalty program will continue to function as normal, giving you time to decide which plan best fits your needs.

πŸ›‘ Caution: If you do not upgrade by the end of the month, you will lose the ability to manage your loyalty program. Your program will continue running for customers, but you will be unable to make any changes other than turning your loyalty program off or upgrading to a new plan to continue using Smile normally.
