Setting rewards for your VIP tiers can encourage repeat purchases by making your customers feel valued. You can customize the rewards and perks you offer to your customers to align with your brand.

Configure entry rewards

โœ… Tip: Smile recommends 2-3 rewards per tier

  1. From Smile admin, navigate to Program > VIP.

  2. In the VIP tiers section, select which tier you'd like to add rewards to.

  3. In the Entry rewards section, click Add reward.

  4. Select the reward type you would like to offer your customers

  5. Configure any requirements for the reward

  6. Click Create.

Configure perks

โ„น๏ธ Note: Perks are not recorded or sent automatically by Smile

  1. From Smile admin, navigate to Program > VIP.

  2. In the VIP tiers section, select which tier you'd like to add rewards to.

  3. In the Perks section, click Edit perks.

  4. Enter the perk in the New perk text box.

  5. Click Add.

Configure points earning conditions

  1. From Smile admin, navigate to Program > Points

  2. Click Add ways to earn

  3. Choose Place an order

  4. In the Customer eligibility section, click Limit to customers based on VIP tiers

  5. Choose the tier you'd like the earning action to apply to

  6. Click Create.

The ability to offer this feature does come with some caveats mentioned below.

โš ๏ธ Warning: If you choose to configure the above points earning settings, ensure all tiers (even the first tier) have a VIP tier dedicated to them. Otherwise customers will get double points from both VIP earning action and the normal points earning action.

โš ๏ธ Warning: If you're creating a Bonus points campaign, you'll need to temporarily deactivate all extra Place an order earning actions, as this feature can only work with one active Place an order earning action
