How to reward your customers on their birthday

You can set up birthday points to give your customers a treat on their special day and know that you'll be protected from fraud with Smile's built in security measures.

Create the birthday reward


From Smile admin navigate to Program > Points > Add ways to earn > Celebrate a birthday

Enter the birthday date


Once logged into the panel, customers can navigate to Ways to earn > Edit date to add their birthday.

ℹ️ Note: Only customers can enter their birthdays into the panel, there is no way to enter this information for them

Security measures to prevent fraud


The points will be rewarded once a year on the customer’s birthday. Points are not issued immediately when the customer enters their birthday.

The points will be rewarded providing the customer has entered their birthday within 30 days and the birthday reward hasn't been triggered by Smile within the last 365 days.

If a customer reaches out about not getting points for their birthday because they entered a date that is in the next 30 days, you can always opt to manually award them.
