Choose how customers progress through VIP tiers by configuring milestone types, timeframes, and start dates.
Feature availability: VIP is available on Growth, Plus, and Enterprise plans.

Configure VIP settings

  1. In Smile Admin, go to Program, then select VIP.
  2. In the Tier settings section, click Edit.
  3. Select your program start date.
    • The earliest start date is the date you installed Smile.
    • You cannot select a future date.
  4. Choose how customers enter tiers:
    • Points earned, or
    • Amount spent
  5. Choose your timeframe:
    • Lifetime, or
    • Calendar year
  6. Click Save.

Updating VIP program settings

You can configure these settings before activating your VIP program. To update them after activation:
  1. Deactivate your VIP program
  2. Make your changes
  3. Reactivate your VIP program
When you reactivate the program, customer tier placements are recalculated based on the new settings. For more details, see Deactivate or reactivate VIP program.
