Understand how monthly orders are counted
Your Smile plan includes a monthly order limit. This limit is based on all orders placed at your store each calendar month, not just orders where customers earn points or redeem rewards. Order counting is separate from how your loyalty program works. Monthly orders are counted by calendar month. For example, June includes all orders placed between June 1 and June 30. This includes all orders, whether they are paid, unpaid, or refunded. Why order counting matters
Your monthly order count helps determine which Smile plan is best suited to your store based on your order volume. As your business grows, you may need to move to a higher plan if you exceed your monthly order limit. Exceeding your monthly order limit doesn’t stop your loyalty program from working, but you may be prompted to upgrade your Smile plan. When order counting starts
If you’re not on a trial, we start counting orders when you subscribe to a paid plan or enable a program (Points, Referrals, or VIP) — whichever happens first. If you’re on a trial, we do not count orders during your trial. Counting begins after your trial ends and you’ve enabled a program. This gives you time to set up and test your program before order counting begins. Orders placed before you install Smile are not counted toward your order usage.Excluded orders
Orders without associated customer emails are not counted toward your usage. This includes certain marketplace orders or in-person sales made through your point of sale (POS) system that do not collect customer emails. Only orders with a customer email are included in your monthly order count.Note: With the exception of orders that don’t have an associated customer email, all orders placed in your store count toward your monthly order limit, whether your program runs online, in-store, or both.
