Mailchimp is an email marketing app that allows you to target customers using Smile based data to ensure they’re continuing to engage with your rewards program.

Install Mailchimp

  1. Install Mailchimp from the app store
  2. From Smile admin navigate to Integrations > Mailchimp.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Click Connect to Mailchimp.
  5. Login to Mailchimp to connect the integration
  6. Click Allow.
  7. Navigate back to Smile > Integrations > Mailchimp.
  8. In the Mailchimp List section, choose the list you would like the Smile information to be synced to.

Create a segmented list using Smile data

Tip: Smile recommends using the Smile Points Balance option to remind customers to return to your store if they have enough points to redeem a reward!
  1. From the Mailchimp dashboard navigate to Audience > Segments.
  2. Click Create segment.
  3. In the Select or search a filter dropdown box, choose any of the below Smile properties:
    1. Smile Points Balance
    2. Smile Referral URL
    3. Smile State
    4. Smile VIP Tier ID
    5. Smile VIP Tier Name
    6. VIP status
  4. Click Review segment.
  5. Click Use segment.
  6. In the Segment name section, enter a name.
  7. Click Save & exit.
