Free shipping rewards are an easy way to add variety to your program and give customers a more rewarding experience. They can complement your existing rewards, and allow you set the points cost based on your own shipping rates.

Create a new free shipping reward


To create a new free shipping reward:

  1. In Smile Admin, navigate to Program > Points.

  2. Click Add ways to redeem.

  3. Select Free shipping.

  4. In the Reward value card, enter the number of points required to redeem the reward.

  5. Click Create.

ℹ️ Note: In the Reward value card, Shopify merchants can set a maximum shipping amount that will be covered when a customer uses this reward on an order.

Limitations of free shipping reward configuration


When setting up free shipping rewards, keep the following limitations in mind. Free shipping rewards cannot:

  • Be restricted to specific shipping rates or methods

  • Cover a percentage of the shipping cost

  • Require a minimum purchase amount

  • Be applied to a specific collection of products
