VIP rewards are designed to remain active after they’ve been issued so customers can redeem them later. In rare cases, you may want to cancel an issued VIP reward. Currently, Smile doesn’t support manually marking VIP rewards as used or removing them from a customer’s profile after they’ve been issued. Instead, there are two possible workarounds:
  • Disable the discount code in your eCommerce platform. The reward will still appear as Issued in Smile and may still appear available to the customer, but the code can no longer be redeemed.
  • Use the discount code in an order so Smile recognizes the reward as used and no longer displays it as active to the customer. This does not need to be a real customer order.

Access the reward code

To access the reward code:
  1. In Smile Admin, go to the customer’s profile.
  2. Select the Rewards tab.
  3. Locate the reward code.
You can then either disable the code in your eCommerce platform or use it in an order so it is marked as used in Smile.
Tip: If you want VIP rewards to expire automatically after a certain period of time, you can configure reward expiry for VIP rewards. This only applies to newly issued rewards. See Configure reward expiry for setup steps.
