Smile automatically generates a name for each way to earn when it is created, however you can customize the name to personalize your loyalty program and match your brand.

Create or edit the name of a way to earn

A custom name is visible for customers in the Smile panel and any emails sent from Smile for this earning action. To create or edit the name of a way to earn:
  1. In Smile Admin, navigate to Program > Points.
  2. In the Ways to earn card find the action you’d like to modify, click Edit.
  3. Click Edit name.
  4. Choose Custom name.
  5. Enter the name you’d like to use for the action.
  6. Click Save.
Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for a new or updated name to be reflected on your store (either in the Smile panel or within any embedded components).
Tip: Once created, custom names do not update automatically if you make any other changes to a way to earn. If you make modifications that require a change to a custom name, you will need to update the custom name manually.
