Feature availability: Excluding products is available for merchants on Shopify only.
You can exclude products from your loyalty program to prevent customers from earning points on those line items.

How to exclude products

  1. Navigate to Smile Admin → Settings → Platform
  2. Scroll down to Product exclusion
  3. Click Edit
  4. Select product(s) - you can pick multiple
  5. Click save
  • Customers won’t earn points when they buy the product(s)
  • Shopify’s native gift card product is always excluded by Smile, as the receiving customer will earn points when the gift card is spent
  • Third-party gift cards aren’t excluded automatically, so consider if you’d like to exclude these
  • Excluded products don’t count towards VIP programs with an ‘amount spent’ goal
  • The embedded points on product page widget is hidden automatically on excluded products
