First off, thank you so much for your interest in sharing Smile with your clients! Here are some frequently asked questions from our agency partners that should help:

For partner agencies with a Smile PartnerStack account (prior to July 1, 2021):


  • How do I make a referral?

    • It's easy! Details here.

  • Who can I introduce my clients to at Smile?

    • If your clients have questions, you can have them email us directly at help@smile.io. This will give them access to our entire merchant experience team, including live chat!

    • Feel free to share our demo video as well so they can see Smile in action 😊

  • Can I still send over leads to Smile?

    • Yes!

    • However, we won't be tracking leads so in order to claim your referral reward (i.e. commission), you'll need to follow-up with us AFTER your client has subscribed to a paid plan with Smile.

  • I'm interested in a monetary reward for my referral. How much should I invoice Smile for my commission?

    • Your monetary reward / commission is equal to the full 1 month subscription fee of your client.

    • For example, if your client subscribes to our Pro Plan ($599/mo):

      • After 3 months of being subscribed, you can invoice Smile for a one-time payment of $599 💰

  • How often can I invoice for my referral commission?

    • For each client you refer, you can only invoice once for your commission after your client has been subscribed for 3 months.

    • Invoices must be received within 12 months of your client subscribing.

  • Will there be a tracking link I can just post to my website?

    • At this time, we don't have a tracking link you can use.


For partner agencies with a Smile PartnerStack account (prior to July 1, 2021):

  • I forgot to log my referrals in PartnerStack. Can I still receive my commission?

    • Sure thing! We'd be happy to see about honoring recent referrals (within 3 months) under our new program. Contact us at help@smile.io to discuss.

  • None of my referrals have gone through but I know some have subscribed. How do I get my commission?

    • Not to worry! You can still invoice us for any referrals who have been subscribed for at least 3 months.

    • Through our new referral program, you'll be able to choose between giving your client 1 month free of their subscription OR you can invoice us to receive the monetary equivalent as a commission.

    • Please follow these guidelines if you choose to invoice us for your referral commission.

  • Can I get a list of referrals who haven’t subscribed yet?

    • If your clients signed up through your PartnerStack referral link, we can pull a list for you to reach out. Just email us at help@smile.io to let us know!

    • Unfortunately, if they didn't sign-up through your referral link we wouldn't have a way to identify who you referred 😞

  • For my existing referrals in PartnerStack, will I continue to receive my recurring monthly commission?

    • No, as we are moving off of PartnerStack and will no longer be using their platform for referrals and commission payments.
