Display an automatic loyalty point calculation directly on your product page, letting customers see how many points they can earn by purchasing the item or service. Customize the location, text and colors to be in line with your brand - all with no code required.

Add points to product page

  1. From Smile admin, navigate to On-site content.

  2. In the Points on product page section, click Setup.

  3. Click Add to theme.

  4. Click Save.

βœ… Tip: Use the Shopify theme editor to control the loyalty block's position on the page. We recommend placing it near the product price ✨

Edit the points on product page

  1. From Shopify admin, navigate to Online Store > Themes.

  2. In your theme section, click Customize.

  3. Navigate to a product page.

  4. In the Template section, click on the Points on product page section.

  5. Adjust the following settings to suit your store's brand:

    1. Primary color

    2. Secondary color

    3. Choose what scenario to preview

    4. Show icon

    5. Show points label

    6. Points text

    7. In the Instructions to join the program, edit the points text

ℹ️ Note: Show points label determines whether Points or currency name is shown after the points amount

Points calculation

πŸ’‘ Important: If you offer different points earning rates for different VIP tiers, this app block will base the calculation on the lowest points earning.

This app block works with all 'place an order' earning configurations (fixed, incremental, and bonus points campaigns). It also supports differently-priced product variants and multi-currency stores. The points will still be awarded in the base currency of the store.

Visibility conditions

This app block will be shown when customers can earn points. There will be some instances where the block will auto-hide, these are:

  • The loyalty program is turned off

  • There are no activate ways to earn points by placing an order

  • The product is excluded from earning points

  • The customer is excluded from the loyalty program

  • The product is a native Shopify Gift Card
