If you have a VIP program, you can limit reward eligibility to customers in specific VIP tiers.
Feature availability: VIP is available on Growth, Plus, and Enterprise plans.
Note: Before setting up VIP exclusive rewards, make sure you have configured a VIP program and ways to redeem.

Set customer eligibility by VIP tier

To limit a reward to customers based on VIP tier:
  1. In Smile Admin, navigate to Program > Points.
  2. In the Ways to redeem card, find the reward you want to modify and click Edit.
  3. In the Customer eligibility card, check Limit to customers based on VIP tiers.
  4. Under VIP tiers that can redeem this reward, select the tier or tiers you want to include.
  5. Click Save.

Good to know

  • Customers outside the eligible VIP tier will still see the reward in the Smile panel and Loyalty Hub (if enabled), but the redeem button will remain locked until they reach the required tier.
  • If you use Redeem at Checkout, customers will only see rewards available to their current VIP tier — locked rewards are not displayed.
  • You can select multiple tiers for a single reward. Customers in any of the selected tiers can redeem the reward.
  • VIP tier restrictions cannot be applied to Shopify POS rewards.
